We are overjoyed to celebrate the graduation of our daughter, Artah Yamin, who recently earned her Master’s degree from San Diego State University in Speech-Language Pathology. We could not be prouder. She will begin her journey as a CF-SLP (clinical fellow) for the San Diego Unified School District and she is excited to provide high quality service to the students she will serve.<\/p>\n

\"\"Shayan Azmoodeh<\/b><\/p>\n

Shayan Azmoodeh, ISSD graduate, who volunteered for 5 years at ISSD as a teaching assistant and Setar and Tombak class assistant, has celebrated graduation in May from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with two Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics. He will start working in Chicago at a proprietary trading firm in the fall of this year.<\/p>\n

\"\"Nusheen Baradaran
\n<\/b><\/span>Nusheen Baradaran earned her Master of Science in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University, where she specialized in transportation systems and vehicle intelligent technologies. Her thesis, \u201cA Holistic Inquiry of Intelligent Speed-Assist Technology: Safety Impacts, Technology Implementation, and Challenges,\u201d investigates the technical and behavioral factors influencing the adoption of Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) systems in the U.S. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines analysis of over two million NHTSA complaints and recall records with original survey data from California drivers, her study identifies major adoption barriers such as user trust, interface design, and data governance.\u00a0While in graduate school, Nusheen concurrently worked full-time as a civil engineer in coastal land development, grounding her academic work in real-world experience and highlighting the interplay between technology deployment and practical design constraints. She intends to continue her career in land development while exploring opportunities in transportation safety research and policy, with long-term aspirations in sustainable infrastructure systems.<\/span><\/p>\n
