Celebrating the Union of Tatiana and Kiarash Jalali
With immense joy, we share the news of Tatiana and Kiarash Jalali’s marriage. In April, surrounded by family and loved ones from the Iranian School of San Diego, they celebrated the beginning of their journey in marriage.
Kiarash, a distinguished Iranian American and proud alum of the Iranian School of San Diego, fondly reminisces about his formative years spent at ISSD. It was within the halls of Standley Middle School two decades ago that he immersed himself in the rich culture of his heritage. Through early Sunday mornings, Kiarash not only embraced his Iranian heritage and learned to read and write Farsi, but also found friendship in other Iranian Americans his age. Born and raised in San Diego to parents Roxana and Saeed, Kiarash and the Jalali family are cherished members of our Iranian community in San Diego.
On their special day, Tatiana and Kiarash were joined by lifelong friends from ISSD, including Niema Moshiri, Nicki Mashayekan, Kevin Mashayekan, Kamron Mehrayin, Kian Mehrayin, Partow Zommorodian, and Mina Noohi. Together, they represent the enduring bonds of the Iranian diaspora in our San Diego community.
As Tatiana and Kiarash embark on this journey, let’s celebrate their love—a testament to the strength of our community.

Nowruz in San Diego
Iranian American Professionals of San Diego (AIAP)
We had our Nowruz event in Four Points by Sheraton on Saturday, March 23, and entertained 201 guests that night. We had a beautiful haft-seen designed by Mrs. Parichehr Moammaei, which was the center of attention the whole night. We had a live violinist in the hallway from 5:30 p.m. and opened the door at 6:00 p.m., serving guests with a cash bar, pastries, fruit, and tea along with music by DJ Julius & our violinist. Guests enjoyed dancing before dinner time around 7:45 p.m., when an Italian buffet and desserts were presented. The entertainment resumed around 8:30 p.m. and continued until around 11:00 p.m. We also presented the children with Nowruz presents and provided some free presents to our guests through raffle tickets.

نوروز در بلبوا پارک
مراسم نوروزی در روز ۱۷ مارچ در بلبوا پارک از طرف گروه جنبش مهسا در سن دیگو برگزار شد. در این برنامه خانم اشلی زارا رقص هایی در رابطه با حقوق زنان با توجه با حمایت از جنبش زن، آزادی اجرا کرد. سپس چندین تصنیف از جمله مرغ سحر و ایران ای سرای امید توسط دکتر کوروش خاموشیان به اجرا در آمد.
