Art Exhibition for Street Children of Tehran
Presented by PCC and DMF
May 18, 2024, at the Iranian American Center
The working children of Tehran have been attending an art workshop. They organized an exhibition about peace and their role models in Tehran on November 12, 2023, which is International Children’s Day. The works were amazing and the viewing impressive.
Dollar a Month Fund Organization was entrusted with 30 of these works of art for an exhibition in San Diego. These are the works of children who carry adult responsibilities on their small shoulders and work to earn a living instead of playing and studying in school. DMF and PCC collaborated to make a very successful exhibition happen on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Every single piece of artwork was purchased and we owe a debt of gratitude to our Iranian American community for its support and contribution to the working children’s education.
The proceeds of the show are donated to the children in Tehran in their entirety. On the same day and after the conclusion of the art exhibition, the PCC stage at IAC hosted a short concert and the Our Sorrow album release by Malihe Moradi and Ehsan Matoori. The attendants supported the group by purchasing signed copies of the album CD.
