  Halloween Celebration

On Sunday, October 27, 2024, most of the students and teachers came to school dressed in colorful costumes. During the last recess, everyone gathered together to take pictures.

Yalda Celebration

Yalda is one of the oldest traditions in Iran and many other cultures in the region. Celebrated on the first night of winter, Yalda coincides with the Winter Solstice and marks the longest night of the year. From this night onward, the nights gradually shorten and the days lengthen until the Spring Equinox (Nowruz). Yalda is rooted in the celebration of the birthday of Mitra, the sun god, symbolizing the ancient Iranian belief in the struggle between light and darkness, good and evil.

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, students, teachers, and some parents gathered on the grass in front of a beautifully ـ arranged Yalda table. They began the celebration by singing the “Ey Iran” song, followed by a talk from the principal about Iranian cultural celebrations and the significance of Yalda. Afterward, students participated in a quiz on the topic and received prizes for their correct answers. The ceremony concluded with the serving of Ash Reshteh, Ajil, and various fruits. Finally, everyone gathered around the Yalda table for photos.
